open_day_mainMelbourne Eastern Healthcare Village was a flurry of activity come December 11th, 2011.  The hard work of a dedicated group of staff culminated in a highly successful open day, and Knox Audiology was proud to open the doors to its brand new audiology clinic within MEHV.  We were most definitely in awe of the vast number of local residents who came along to support the opening of the new centre, and the day was overall a great success.

From the moment we opened the doors, people began to flood in, keen to learn more about the facilities that were now at their fingertips.  Local residents, friends of staff and even some special guests took advantage of the fantastic activities available on the day.  Everyone was kept busy by the educative facility tours, free health check and health seminars, and kept happy by the sausage sizzle, free show bags and gourmet food from the MEHV cafe.

The community feel of the event shone through.  Face painting and colouring competitions kept our many young visitors content and with a visit from Santa thrown into the mix, the excitement and enthusiasm of the children was highly evident.  The Christmas theme to the day was a lovely touch, and it was delightful to see all the young children running around with their brightly painted faces!

It was a fantastic opportunity for Knox Audiology to educate the public on our range of services for all ages, and we were lucky enough to be visited by the Mayor of Knox, Adam Gill who graciously agreed to have a hearing assessment by one of our audiologists, Luke Klunder.  The day was a great chance to educate the public about our range of services for young and old, and with our ever expanding facilities and tests available there was most definitely something for everyone.  Overall the day was a fantastic success and we look forward to the next open day come Sunday March 25th, 2012.
