Vanessa decided on Audiology because it was a compilation of many of her interests. She has always been interested in healthcare because it works towards the improvement of someone’s health and wellbeing. In addition, working with kids was one of her dream goals as she wanted to guide future generations to be happier and healthier. Audiology caught her eye due to its prevalence in paediatric care and lack of awareness in non-English speaking backgrounds. As an audiologist, Vanessa aims to increase recognition and understanding of Audiology in our multi-cultural community.

Vanessa completed the Master of Clinical Audiology at The University of Melbourne, after completing the Bachelor of Biomedicine. During her postgraduate course, she was fortunate to gain work experience at a retail audiology store. This allowed her to acquire knowledge of many hearing aid manufacturers early on in her Audiology career.

As an audiologist, Vanessa enjoys meeting people from different backgrounds and creating shared experiences with them on their hearing journey. From children and their parents and guardians to grandparents, it’s a very exciting opportunity to be able to bond with people from each generation!

Vanessa loves to crochet in her spare time and looks forward to the day when she is able to proudly gift finished products to family and friends.
